JOE WORRICKER - ROCKFEEDBACK AT THE LEXINGTON

"Though these might be early days in the career of Londoner Joe Worricker, the watchful eye of Rough Trade records will ensure that this remarkable voice will fall on anything but deaf ears. Imagine if Antony Hegarty was more in to showtunes than he was body dismorphia and you might be some way there, but to really understand this young might be superstar, this live performance at a Rockfeedback club night and incredibly charming interview are a good way to start"

ITALIANS DO IT BETTER AT KOKO

Deadly People present...

ITALIANS DO IT BETTER AT KOKO

Thursday 11th June 7.30pm- 1am

Koko, 1A Camden High St, London NW1 7JE

EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCES FROM:

Lindstrom (LIVE, Norway)

Glass Candy (LIVE, USA)

Desire (LIVE, USA)

Twisted Wires (LIVE, USA)

Mike Simonetti (DJ, USA)

When an artist plays only once a year in the country you know they’re special. We have such an artist in Lindstrom. He’s widely lauded as being at the forefront of a now very popular cosmic disco movement and has been for many years producing classic tracks and collaborating flawlessly.

In support of Lindstrom’s only headline slot in London this year is the crème de la crème of the most sought after independent record label in the US, Italians Do It Better. Italians… is the home of Glass Candy, a band whose impact on the live disco scene on both sides of the Atlantic has helped stoke the fire of the disco revival. We’ll also have the UK debuts of two other bands that go by the name of Desire (featuring Johnny Jewel of Chromatics) and Twisted Wires.

This will be the very first time anyone will see all of these bands together on the same bill and it’s likely to be the last as it has taken us months of preparation to bring it all together. It is our dream gig. If you’re looking for an event that you cannot miss, this is it. This will be an ‘I was there’ gig. All of the performers are headliners in their own right so make sure you’re in attendance.

The DJ throughout the night will be the man behind Italians Do It Better, Mike Simonetti.
